Tahoe Silicon Mountain

May 14, 2012, 6-8 pm: Silicon Mountain Meeting with Dr. Rob Leri, Superintendent TTUSD

The Silicon Mountain Group, a network of technology professionals who live and work in the Tahoe/Truckee area, is pleased to welcome TTUSD’s Superintendent Dr. Rob Leri for a discussion on “technology and education.”

Dr. Leri will talk about his vision for the school district and his priorities as Superintendent and Chief Learning Officer. The discussion with the Silicon Mountain group will focus on the topics of:

•       - Why is the quality of local education so important to the tech community?
•       - How could technology change the way schools operate in the future?
•         What can technology-savvy members of the Silicon Mountain group do to support education, in particular in the area of technology education?
•         What are successful examples/role models of local technology professionals?

IMPORTANT: CHANGE IN LOCATOIN: The meeting will be held at the District Office of TTUSD at 11603 Donner Pass Rd Truckee.  A $5 fee includes pizza, and soft drinks. Before and after the discussion, there will be time for networking with other technology people who live and work in the Tahoe-Truckee region.
